Late last night I was looking for images of BSA official flags as I worked on putting together a flag ceremony for the Fox River District Dinner next week. I came across lots of posts done in 2007 for the International Centennial of Scouting, and some pretty neat material that was gathered then.
You might remember back in December when I posted that the Postal Service would be issuing a commemorative stamp this year in honor of the Centennial. I found a great post on “The Daily Flag” with images of a 4¢ stamp issued on February 8, 1960 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the BSA.
There was also a very cool 3¢ stamp issued 10 years before for the 2nd Boy Scout Jamboree! They have pictures of both in this article.
The post immediately preceding caught my eye as well – “From Boys to Men – The Writings of Robert Baden-Powell.”
I hope you enjoy these as much as I did!
