November is Native Heritage Month in Racine
Racine Mayor John Dickert has proclaimed November as Native American Heritage month. As done in years past, David Maack is willing to make cultural presentations to troops and packs during the month of November (schedule permitting). Presentations include traditional stories, along with cultural of overview from an Ojibwe perspective.
Bio: David Maack is active in the Native American community in Southeast Wisconsin. He is White Earth Ojibwe and a Traditional powwow dancer. David serves on the Indian Summer Board of Directors and recently returned from a trip to southern France where he spoke to school and community groups about the Ojibwe culture and accepted a plot of land on behalf of the Ojibwe people. David is an Eagle scout and a Vigil member of the Order of the Arrow.
