The Boy Scouts of America and our public and private K-12 Schools are very connected. Almost all of our Scouts will be students in a local school, and many of our units meet on the grounds or in facilities of our schools.
The BSA’s new Adopt A School program helps to recognize that. It asks every unit to make a commitment to their local partner school to provide a small service project to the school once every quarter – just 4 times a year. Projects could be simple and fast from picking up trash, to more involved projects like planning out raised bed gardens or creating identifying tree markers on the property.
Over the course of one year, would you consider doing 4 service projects for the school that supports you?
