World Scout Moot

Youth participants in a World Scout Moot are 18 to 25 years old, the next age group up from a World Scout Jamboree.

The 14th World Scout Moot will take place in Ontario and Quebec, Canada next August.  Moot participants will be organized into international patrols next April, will communicate with other members of their patrols in the four months before the moot, and will participate in the moot in those international patrols.  There has never been a World Scout Moot this close to the Central Region. This is an incredible opportunity. I hope many Central Region Venturers and leaders who were born between August 9, 1987 and August 7, 1995, will decide to become part of the BSA contingent.

I encourage you to watch the World Scout Moot promotional video at http://www.youtube. com/watch? v=eUX3hsZDvmw We have links to a number of other videos that show different aspects of the 14th World Scout Moot and information on the BSA contigent on our Michigan Crossroads Council International Scouting home page at http://www.michigan scouting. org/Scouting/ International/

The BSA fee of $1100 per person covers the World Scout Moot fee for lodging, food, transportation, and activities from the time you arrive at the Moot until the time you depart plus BSA badges, bags, and support. The BSA contingent will meet in Ottawa on August 7. BSA contingent members will be responsible for their own transportation to and from Ottawa.

To become part of the BSA contingent to the 14th World Scout Moot, you must be nominated by your council’s International Representative.
