No, that’s not the Order of the Arrow. It’s the symbol of the 32nd Infantry Division – the Red Arrow.

With its roots in the Iron Brigade dating back to the American Civil War, the 32nd was an incredibly tenacious ground combat unit, succeeding where others would fail.

And it’s apropos that Red Arrow Park in Milwaukee is named after these great Wisconsin soldiers! Today, a red granite sculpture depicting the insignia of this division stands in the park. And Red Arrow Park is also home to Slice of Ice, a 128 by 95 refrigerated outdoor skating rink.

Crew 999, proud keepers of Camp Ammon at the Wisconsin State Fair, is hosting a free skating party on January 18th, 2014 from Noon to 3PM. Skating is free – but skate rental if you need it is $7 or $8.
