What is a Commissioner?
Commissioners are one of our most valuable assets in Scouting and a position most volunteers don’t even know about. Our Commissioners provide advice and guidance, encouragement and even help with quality control. These amazing individuals have been involved in Scouting for a long time and “know the ropes.” Trying to figure out how to organize your first outing? Want your Troop to be more Boy-Led? Are you struggling with getting more parents to volunteer in your unit? Your Unit Commissioner can help!
But Commissioners do far more than that – from Roundtable to camping, your trained Commissioners are your best friend allowing you to concentrate on doing the best job you can.
Glen Bordak is our District Commissioner. Assisting Glen is John Fotsch, long time Scouter and wonderful resource for us to have in our district.
They are aided with Roundtable duties by Norbert Paul and Jeremy Laffin who are currently offering their service as Roundtable Commissioners.
We really need experienced Scouters to volunteer to give guidance to our units! Please offer to help – help us give today’s youth the same great opportunities that you had in Scouting.
