Duty to God

Every Scout Promise and Oath includes the phrase “Duty to God.” Belief in a higher being is essential to understanding our place in this world.

Scouts of all ages can earn their emblem of faith: Religious Emblems information on Scouting.org.

Resources are available to help you include Duty to God in your Unit’s program. Short prayer services called “Scouts Own” are common on campouts and outings. Many units begin or end their meetings with a short blessing.

The Fox River District supports those units who uphold and practice their Duty to God. Please find information below on faith based programs available in our council and local contacts who can help you with your own faith program:
